[Autohome News] Recently, Hongqi announced that its Tiangong 07 model will begin pre-sales on September 21. Positioned as a pure electric mid-to-large-sized sedan, the car is regarded as the successor to the Hongqi EH7. It has undergone extensive adjustments in its exterior and interior design, offers both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options, and is equipped with LiDAR. It is expected to feature a high-level advanced driver assistance system.
In terms of exterior, according to official releases, the new car centers on Oriental aesthetics with a design philosophy of minimalist negative space, enhancing its overall recognizability. Specifically, it adopts a closed front grille, paired with distinctive headlight clusters and the central Hongqi brand logo, creating a compelling visual effect.
Viewed from the side, the car features smooth roof lines, hidden door handles, and double five-spoke wheels, offering a good sense of sportiness. At the rear, the vehicle utilizes a full-width taillight group, paired with a slightly upturned ducktail design, which enriches the visual layers and enhances the vehicle’s sportiness. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 5000/1915/1490mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.
Regarding the interior, the car adopts a wraparound cockpit design and is equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster, a floating central control screen, and hidden air vents. Combined with a two-tone color scheme of dark top and light bottom, the overall look exudes a sense of refinement. Meanwhile, the center console island is equipped with dual mobile phone slots (one side featuring a wireless charging area), dual cup holders, and mechanical multimedia knobs, enhancing convenience.
For the rear seats, the car is equipped with air conditioning vents, suspected magnetic interfaces, and the second-row seats support 4/6 split-folding, further improving the vehicle’s cargo space. In terms of driver assistance, the car will feature Hongqi’s Sinan Smart Driving solution, capable of achieving high-level combined driving assistance functions such as full-dimensional active safety, highway navigation assist, urban navigation assist, all-scenario intelligent parking assist, cross-floor memory parking, seamless ETC passage, end-to-end three-point turns, waiting area passage, and door-to-door driving.
In terms of power, according to previous filing information, the new car will offer single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single motor version has a maximum power of 340kW, while the dual-motor version has a maximum power of 190kW/340kW.
