Ruisheng M8 Set to Launch on December 5th

[Auto Home News] Recently, we have learned from the manufacturer that the Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) new MPV, the Ruisheng M8, will officially go on sale on December 5th. Positioned as a large MPV, it will offer both range-extender and all-electric powertrain options.

Exterior: The Ruisheng M8 features a large front grille with a vertical chrome slat design. The headlights on both sides are integrated with the grille, forming a unified front-end structure. The lower bumper incorporates vertically arranged air vent decorations on the sides. The overall design has a very distinct and personalized character. In terms of colors, the new model offers seven exterior paint options, including four solid colors like Starry Night Black and Pearl White, and three two-tone combinations like Moonlight Silver/Pulse Green.

Profile: The vehicle adopts a standard MPV body shape. It features a recessed character line along the sides, which cleverly conceals the sliding track for the electric sliding doors, enhancing the clean appearance of the profile. The model is also equipped with multi-spoke alloy wheels. Regarding dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5317/1870/1955 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3200 mm.

Rear: The rear end includes a roof spoiler housing the high-mounted stop light and a rear window wiper. The taillights adopt a full-width light bar design, with the main lamp clusters on each side featuring a gradient lighting effect that offers good recognition when illuminated. Additionally, the range-extender version uses a hidden exhaust layout.

Interior: The Ruisheng M8's cabin is equipped with a full digital instrument cluster and a two-spoke dual-tone multifunction steering wheel. The center console features a floating-style multimedia touchscreen. The center console area includes a wireless charging panel, dual cup holders, and physical function buttons. The interior is available in two color schemes: Black/Amber Orange and Black/Quantum Grey.

Seating & Space: The Ruisheng M8 will offer 7-seat and 9-seat layouts. The second row features two independent captain's chairs equipped with functions like power adjustment and leg rests. Furthermore, depending on the configuration, it offers a theater-style seating layout, seats with 7-layer ergonomic construction, and supports ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The vehicle is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 automotive-grade chip and Horizon L2 driver assistance systems.

Powertrain: The Ruisheng M8 offers range-extender (EREV) and all-electric (BEV) options.

• The EREV version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender, paired with a 46 kWh battery pack and a 65L fuel tank. It achieves a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a comprehensive total range of 1420 km.

• The BEV model uses a single electric motor with a maximum power of 170 kW. It is equipped with either a 92 kWh or an 81 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing CLTC ranges of 560 km and 505 km, respectively.
