[Autohome Domestic Spy Shots] Recently, Geely Auto released a winter test video for the Xingyue L PLUS, showcasing the disguised HEV test model successfully cold-starting on the first attempt in an environment of -50°C, as well as its performance in dynamic snow tests. The Xingyue L PLUS is positioned as the brand-new flagship mid-size SUV under Geely. Its body dimensions are larger than those of the Xingyue L, and it features a 5-door, 5-seat layout. The new car is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.

New Car Introduction:

In terms of exterior design, the Xingyue L PLUS continues the design language of the current Xingyue L. The massive cascading grille is the visual focus of the front face, exuding a powerful presence. Both the front grille and bumper feature extensive chrome trim, enhancing the visual sense of luxury. Whether in the spy shots disclosed this time or the recently released declaration images, the Xingyue L PLUS is equipped with a LiDAR unit. It is expected to carry a higher-end driver assistance system than the Xingyue L, potentially covering advanced functions such as urban navigation assistance.

Moving to the side of the vehicle, the new car’s profile is stable and dignified, featuring a factory-installed roof rack and traditional-style door handles. Chrome outlines are used along the edges of the side windows, the base of the exterior rearview mirrors, and the side skirts, enhancing the design’s layering and luxurious feel. The Xingyue L PLUS measures 4955mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1769mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900mm, positioning it as a mid-size SUV. The new car will come with 20- or 21-inch wheels, offering a variety of styles, including a multi-spoke design that exudes a sense of nobility.

The rear of the Xingyue L PLUS adopts a full-width taillight design, offering high recognizability. Compared to the Xingyue L, the detailing at the rear of the Xingyue L PLUS is more rounded, and the increased use of chrome trim further enhances the luxurious atmosphere. Official photos of the interior have not yet been released, and we will continue to follow for more information on this new car.

Regarding the powertrain, the Xingyue L PLUS offers two options: a pure fuel version and an oil-electric hybrid version. The pure fuel version is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 213kW, a top speed of 210km/h, and a fuel consumption of 7.97-8.15L/100km. The oil-electric hybrid version features a 2.0T hybrid-specific engine and a 3DHT hybrid-specific transmission. The engine boasts a maximum power of 160kW and a top speed of 190km/h, with a focus on low fuel consumption performance. (Text/Autohome Chang Qinglin)
