Two-Tone Body, Expected Four-Seat Configuration: Buick Century Guoling Edition Set to Launch on October 9

    Recently, Buick officially released images of the Century Guoling Edition, which is scheduled to hit the market on October 9. The specific upgrades and changes for this new model have not yet been officially announced. It is speculated that the exterior and interior may feature exclusive LPGA Championship logos, and the interior might include a dedicated storage space for golf equipment.

    Based on the official images, the Guoling Edition is expected to be a four-seat model, featuring a two-tone exterior and large multi-spoke blade-style wheels. The Buick Century continues the PURE Design philosophy. In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5219/1878/1807 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3088 mm, positioning it as a large MPV. Additionally, the vehicle comes with a flowing welcome light show, light-sensitive door handles, sensor-activated welcome lighting, and silver wing light projections. It can project a 2.5-meter-long light carpet on the ground, paired with illuminated welcome pedals, to create an impressive welcome effect.

    For the interior, referencing the current model, the dashboard adopts a wraparound design with a 30-inch curved 6K screen, powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip. It features an AI-powered voice assistant and supports CarPlay connectivity. The new vehicle also offers an AQS external air quality control system and an AQI in-cabin PM2.5 air quality monitoring system. The six- and seven-seat versions are equipped with a 12-speaker BOSE sound system, while the four-seat version offers up to 21 BOSE speakers, including rear headrest speakers. The Buick Century is available in four-, six-, and seven-seat configurations, with the seven-seat version adopting a 2+2+3 layout and the six-seat version a 2+2+2 layout. The second-row seats feature electric leg rests, footrests, foldable tables, as well as heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The rear cabin also includes privacy glass, electric sunshades, and wireless charging.

    In terms of powertrain, the Buick Century is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system, delivering a maximum power of 237 horsepower (174 kW) and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the vehicle features the latest iteration of eConnect connectivity technology and NOP smart navigation, with plans to expand AI voice model capabilities and lane-level navigation via OTA updates.
