[Autohome News] On April 24, the 2026 Beijing Auto Show kicked off, marking the official debut of the Yangwang U8L Dingcang Edition and the Yangwang U9 Xtreme with new exclusive paint colors. As the flagship model of the Yangwang family, the four-seat U8L Dingcang Edition receives upgrades in cabin experience, exclusive owner benefits, and personalization options. Naturally, its price will also be significantly differentiated from the six-seat version. The currently available six-seat Yangwang U8L Dingshi Edition starts at 1.3 million RMB.

In terms of exterior design, the new model is expected to continue the "Ding" (tripod)-inspired family design language, with newly added exclusive emblems, a special paint finish, and unique wheels that further enhance its distinguished identity. The core interior change is a 2+2 independent four-seat layout. The rear cabin is equipped with dual individual aviation-style seats featuring massage, ventilation, leg rests, and independent multimedia control systems. These are paired with premium leather, a smart refrigerator, and a high-end audio system, creating a top-tier luxury private cabin. The new car also introduces an exterior color called "Ink Jade Green" and an interior color named "Singing Sand Gold."

On the powertrain front, the four-seat version is expected to remain unchanged. For reference, the Yangwang U8L features a range-extender powertrain with a 2.0T range extender. The four electric motors produce a combined output of 1,200 hp and 1,520 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds. It comes with a 56.58 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a CLTC combined range of 1,205 km. The chassis employs a front and rear double-wishbone independent suspension, front and rear differential locks, and a rear-wheel steering system, along with the Yunian-P+ intelligent hydraulic body control system. The new car is equipped with flash charging technology and a second-generation Blade Battery, capable of charging from 10%-70% in 5 minutes and from 10%-97% in 9 minutes; at -30°C, it takes only 3 minutes longer.

The Yangwang U9 Xtreme with its exclusive paint color also made its official debut, limited to just 30 units. The U9 Xtreme's front hood features a dual-through design, and the bottom is fitted with a massive carbon fiber front lip spoiler. The sides have downward-curved end plates, greatly increasing front downforce and enhancing vehicle stability. The front fenders have a bulging sculpted shape, and the shoulder line extends to the rear, creating an undulating form with the rear wheel arches. It comes standard with 20-inch dual five-spoke wheels, all wrapped in GitiSport e·GTR2 PRO high-performance semi-slick tires co-developed with Giti, sized at 325/35 ZR20 (112Y). It is worth noting that these semi-slick tires are rated for speeds up to 500 km/h. Notably, the car also features titanium alloy brake calipers and an optimized carbon-ceramic braking system that increases both surface area and heat dissipation efficiency.

In terms of chassis, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme is equipped with the e⁴ (Yi Sifang) + Yunian-X intelligent fully active body control system. The four-wheel distributed drive motors allow for wheel-end torque vectoring. The Yunian-X system uses an external dual-valve structure, with the two valves independently controlling the compression and rebound strokes, enabling rapid independent vertical adjustment of all four corners.

For the powertrain, the new car adopts a full-domain 1200V ultra-high-voltage platform, with a four-motor system delivering a combined output of 2,220 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of 1,217 hp per ton. It is also fitted with an all-new track-grade Blade Battery, which achieves an ultra-high discharge rate of 30C through optimized cells, reduced internal resistance, and a new dual-layer cooling structure.
