At the 2025 Chengdu Motor Show, the Mazda EZ-60 made its debut, with the official announcement that it will be launched on September 26. The Mazda EZ-60 is still based on Changan's EPA platform and is positioned as a mid-size SUV, offering both pure electric and range-extender powertrain options. As of now, its pre-order count has exceeded 40,000 units.
In terms of exterior design, the EZ-60 inherits Mazda's family design philosophy while featuring a全新的 daytime running light design that exudes a futuristic feel, outlining the grille's contour. The brand logo is also illuminated. The new model adopts a split-type headlight design, with the main headlights integrated into the air intakes on both sides. Dimensions-wise, the vehicle measures 4850/1935/1620 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2902 mm. The side profile maintains a sporty stance, complemented by hidden door handles and digital side mirrors. The rear window features a steep incline, while the dynamic taillights, rear spoiler, and rear bumper emphasize its sporty attributes.
Inside, the car boasts a large panoramic screen spanning the central console and passenger side. The interior focuses on material quality and ambiance, and the model also offers a "Queen's Passenger Seat" feature. The vehicle is expected to come with an L2-level advanced driver-assistance system, including automated parking capabilities.
For powertrain options, the range-extender variant is equipped with a 1.5L range extender with a maximum power output of 70 kW, paired with a drive motor delivering a peak power of 190 kW. The pure electric version, referencing the EZ-6, features a single motor with a maximum power of 190 kW. (Reposted from Autohome)
